About the Role

Our client is one of Europe’s leading bank-owned leasing companies with a portfolio in excess of £25bn.

An exciting opportunity has come up to be European Sales Manager for their highest profile technology vendor partner who are arguably the most recognised technology brand in the world.

Key responsibilities:

  • Defining and executing a European growth strategy for the program, aligned with local country plans and ensuring appropriate coverage across current territories (mainly focusing on the UK and France) as well as future expansion markets (for example Germany and Spain).
  • Leading, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams across Europe.
  • Responsibility for the program P&L, including revenue and margin KPIs.
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team across Europe.
  • Foster an international program community within the funder and lifecycle management service provider
  • Set up and follow up with vendor on strategy, sales objectives, and action plans.
  • Monitor KPIs on business activity, refresh cycles, and end-of-term performance.
  • Ensure timely escalations and action plans based on SLA monitoring.
  • Drive forecasting and pipeline management with a programmatic approach.
  • Support country teams in business development and achieving sales objectives, scaling best practices internationally.
  • Develop overall value proposition to most strategic customers and resellers, ensuring competitive pricing and profit margins.
  • Conduct regular strategic reviews with vendor financial services EMEIA leadership, manufacturer EMEIA leadership and local teams.
  • Manage and strengthen the strategic partnership with vendor, including joint business planning, KPI alignment, and commercial governance.
  • Responsible for escalating material risks, issues and client complaints identified to the local and European teams as appropriate.
  • Ensuring (local) ownership for action plans and implementations, as well as timely and accurate input for any periodical or ad-hoc information/reporting to be provided by the country teams.
  • Responsible for adhering to policies, procedures, guidelines and the internal control framework established to guide the operation of their function in addition to regulatory compliance requirements.

Your Background:

  • Proven track record of working with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience building and executing complex commercial growth plans in the UK, France, Germany or a similar country.
  • Strong understanding of Lifecycle Management, including the end-to-end sales process from customer engagement to device refresh and remarketing.
  • Experience managing a professional field-based direct sales team in a related industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of asset finance products and commercial practices.
  • Established and successful business development discipline.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience in a pressurised sales environment and in technology leasing.

Remuneration:

Basic salary + car allowance up to c£133,000

Annual bonus of £20,000 - £30,000

Based in UK with extensive time spent with vendor partner in London.

Time also spent elsewhere in UK and across the European countries where program operates.
