About the Role
My client is a market-leading, multi-faceted consumer and commercial financing business who lend c£6billion annually in the UK.
The business continues to grow and they are now looking to hire a Regional Manager for their specialist tax funding division to cover London and the South. This division has grown by a further 30% in the past year and stays on a significant growth trajectory. The role is to manage an existing portfolio of brokers, delivering uptake of tax and VAT funding products.
Job Overview:
Operating in a field-based role, the position has the following key objectives:
- Maintaining and developing a portfolio of Commercial Finance Brokers, ensuring they are skilled to identify, sell and process the Tax funding product portfolio
- Focusing on both volume and revenue returns, making sure they run a profitable book
Primary Responsibilities:
- Produce and agree in conjunction with Head of Sales, an annual business plan.
- Maintain an on-going relationship with your portfolio of Commercial Finance brokers to build strong relationships and ensure you’re seen as the key finance partner for Tax funding.
- Identify prospective new partners within the strategic criteria & maintain the centralised Pipeline report.
- Report monthly on key performance indicators as agreed with the Sales Director within specified time scales.
- Manage activity in line with an agreed sales approach that will include preparation of prioritised suspect and prospect lists, a weekly plan of activity with minimum activity levels, completion of meetings notes / actions and recording of them on the CRM system or other as agreed.
- Build a structured contact strategy, assisting with the development of consistent presentation collateral.
- Use the full resources of the business to convert to contract stage.
- Issue follow up communications and formal proposals to prospects in standardised templates within a specified time scale.
- Hand hold all new business wins through initial implementation/launch and work closely with the broker to launch, maintain and drive product sales.
- Any other activity that the Sales Director reasonably requires regarding new business prospecting.
- Ensure that all contracts won meet annual targets, and are achieved within a desired framework.
- Organise all necessary fulfilment and training to new partners – including co-ordination of support teams.
- Ensure that the Onboarding team has all information necessary to evaluate and appoint a new partner, working with the team to secure any missing information from the partners.
- Report to Sales Director on market conditions and competitor activity.
- Attend road shows, exhibitions and functions as required.
- Continually promote via social media and attend sector conferences and networking events to help growth awareness of the product.
- Carry out additional duties, prepare specific reports or presentations as requested from time to time by line management.
- Provide guidance and assistance in the development and management of the newer or less experienced members of the Team.
- Assist Credit Control Department in resolving debt issues with partners as and when required.
- Proactively work with multiple stake holders/departments in the business and develop strong internal relationships.

The role covers London, Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey and Kent so you can be located anywhere in that area
Remuneration:
Basic salary to £60,000, Company Car, On-target bonus of £19,000 per year. Ability to significantly overachieve with bonus capped at 100% of basic salary.
