About the Role
Our client is the UK's first FCA-authorised Shariah-compliant direct car finance lender. Having launched in 2024, they have recently activated their dealer distribution channel. The long-term vision is to build a full Islamic challenger bank in the UK, with a PRA banking licence application progressing in parallel.
The role:
The Regional Manager owns and grows the UK dealer distribution channel — onboarding new dealers, activating signed dealers into funded volume, and managing the existing dealer book to deliver against ambitious origination targets. This is a senior, hands-on, field-based role with full ownership of the dealer relationship.Key responsibilities
• Onboard new dealers onto the panel, with emphasis on quality fit and funded-volume potential over headline sign-up numbers
• Drive activation — ensuring signed dealers begin writing funded deals within 30 days of joining the panel
• Account-manage the existing dealer base to grow funded volume, improve approved-to-funded conversion, and deepen wallet share
• Represent company to dealer principals and business managers across the UK
• Feed market intelligence on dealer behaviour, competitor pricing, product gaps and commission expectations back into Product, Credit and Commercial
• Represent company at industry events, trade shows and dealer forums
Your Background:
• 5–10 years' experience in UK motor finance in a dealer-facing role
• Current or recent experience at a UK motor finance lender
• Demonstrable book of active dealer relationships, with credibility at dealer-principal and business-manager level
• Strong track record of dealer activation, not just dealer sign-up, comfortable being measured on funded volume, not just panel size
• Hunter mentality with disciplined account-management capability
• Comfortable selling a differentiated proposition — a Shariah-compliant lender is a category-defining position in the UK market, and the right candidate will see this as a competitive advantage
• Self-motivated and capable of running a national territory autonomously while contributing actively to a small, fast-moving team
• Full UK driving licence
